Where do you live and under what conditions? Since the age of 17 I have moved 25 times. I haven’t counted the times I moved prior to 17, but it was a lot. I don’t mind and I guess in some way this nurtured my love for travel. I have also had four major country moves in my life and I look forward to more. One thing I have learned from all this moving around though is that wherever I go, I take myself with me. Despite being in new surroundings after some time, the same old patterns would begin to emerge. Have you had this happen to you?
I am sharing this, because most people think of their home as the physical address where they live. There is a place that you live first and foremost though. Your body! Your first and permanent home, whilst you are alive, is your body. Whilst people take tremendous care of their physical houses and places of residence, most have very little knowledge of their true home – their body. This is the reason that so many give away their power to health professionals who supposedly know more about their home than they do. And this is partially true because we have been led away from our true homes. Everything is within and your access route is via your body.
So as your body is the place that you really live in and with for your whole life, what kind of a home do you want to experience and have? The conditions that you live in and under – with regards to your body – are extremely important as they will impact directly on the quality of your life’s experience. What if you had a home that is comfortable, that suits you, that supports you, where you can relax, where there is no judgement, where you can truly be you 24/7, where you can connect to health, abundance, love, joy and to your Self, etc.!
Through my 25 years as a Body Healer I have seen how disconnected so many are from their bodies. As long as you are disconnected and not fully present in and with your body, you will not experience being home. Most people are not even aware that they are in a space of disconnect because our brains have be wired to overlook this information, particularly in this very mental focused world. The mental will always keep you in the mental. Whereas your body will bring you information from your body-mind-soul. This is the reason that becoming aware of whether, where and how we are connected is, I feel, imperative to us finally experiencing the lives we say we desire. This is the Vision I hold because it has been my life’s experience.
For many years I looked outside of myself for a sense of being home and it was only when I started to love and honour my body exactly as it was that my sense of confidence, love and joy expanded. It was then that I began to get an inkling of the immense wisdom that was hidden and that came through my physical sensations, hunches and feelings. Our bodies capture the language of the Universe – Energy – and are constantly communicating it to us. Up until now, many of us however have ignored these signals because we have been given misguided information, if any at all. To truly experience living orgasmically – that sense of total and unlimited and beyond time sensual connection to all that is – we have to overcome first the fear – yes fear – of our bodies and then we have to learn to open up to the language of our body-mind-soul connection, which is all channeled via our physical body and aura.
Before we can love our body, we have to establish a connection and if there is a connection already, be willing to explore it further. True intimacy begins within each of us and it is only through a sense of self-trust that a reliable and confident connection comes about. As well as through trial and error. So don’t beat yourself up over it. When you learned to walk, you did it one step at a time. Also a healthy connection will flourish and become better integrated in a kind and loving environment. And it starts with you choosing these vibrations and then allowing whatever that is not or is to show up and be experienced so that it can be set free. Energy simply wants to move and it is our personalities that lock energy into our bodies through our choices of thoughts, feelings and emotions. I feel that we are now at a time in our evolution where shifting through and out of this is possible. The place to start, is at home. That means you and your body – the connection to your reality.

There is a magic to Life that is found in the most simplest of situations. In fact, more and more, it seems that things show up with ease and almost effortless. When things become flustered or chaotic, it’s time to pause and step back. Not step back as in give up, but rather as an acknowledging of the natural laws that really run the show. So it’s a reminder that it’s time to tap into to the magic and allow it to bring it in.
With any plan, one that will work, there has to be a clear intention. Like when you set out on a journey from A to Z. You know where you are starting and you know where you are going. What happens on the way between B to Y this is the part where the magic happens. Your part is in choosing to go on the journey and to enjoy the adventure on the way.
Today, was a day in which plans came together. Not mega huge things, but a coming together of smaller pieces that simply shift into position. Magic often shows up silently and almost unobtrusively, yet its power is incontestable.
I had to take my cat to the vet today. I had booked in with a particular vet. So imagine my trepidation when I realized that I had booked in with the ‘wrong’ vet. I got the names mixed up. Or so I thought! He was amazing and just the person I needed to see. In the short time I was in with him, he took care of my beloved feline friend with such caring and efficiency. I had taken my cat in, expecting to be told that she would have to be operated on. That is what the other vet had advised. He also gave me a solution on how to deal with a stray cat that has been hanging around my place and attacking my cat, for the last year. I had called animal control, the SPCA and also taken the stray cat to the vet and was at a loss at to what to do. Here was the information I had been asking for. All this magic arose from staying opening, constantly asking what the next and best step was and who could help me. And then with a wave of its wand, the Universe ‘mistakenly’ put me in touch with just the right person. It is so wonderful to get the right person and circumstances align. I love it when a plan comes together.
But there’s more. When I came to pay the vet with my card the transaction was denied. Admittedly a bit miffed, I called the bank when I got home to find out what the problem was. I got to speak to the most delightful and helpful lady on the phone. She answered my questions and walked me through opening up an online account, which I had previously been told was not possible. So once again, an apparent mistake with my card led me in a direction which turned out to be highly beneficial. Magic at work!
So what exactly was the plan that came together, you may be wondering? Today, in the matter of a few hours, I found the resolution for several issues that had been of concern. The synchronicity between past events and the ‘mistakes’ that took me to where I would find the resolution I had been asking for, is undeniable, although some may insist on calling it coincidence.
They say that to see the Magic, you have to look for it and be willing to see it. I had started my journey from A to Z almost over a year ago, had made several stops along the way, gotten lost on a few occasions, had some great and not so great moments. Throughout it all I kept on coming back to the plan – asking for direction on how to get to Z, being willing to receive and consider the options that showed up on the way and taking action and in moments of doubts choosing to know that I was on the way to Z and trusting that I would arrive. The magic is found in those moments when the plan comes together and there is no doubt that you have arrived – exactly where you need to be because you are there. And what’s so exciting is that each day there are plans coming together in so many ways and to receive their unfolding with thanks, fun and adventure. And then to start all over again. To realize that the greatest plan that is coming together, every day in so many ways, is Life itself.
Many blessings and in love and light.

“Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?” from Sonnet 18 of William Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo and Juliette’ sprung to mind recently. This blog is not about the sonnet itself, but rather this simple yet profound question. Let me extrapolate.
This question sprang to mind as I found myself comparing myself to others and in a way that was bringing up some strong ‘negative’ self-judgement. On taking a closer look at the underlying energy, I had an epiphany as I came across a contradictory belief – I simply do not believe in competition. I value individuality and celebrate the uniqueness of each. Yet, here I was confronted by my own inner Judge. Which was a great moment, because now that I had identified who the players were, I could choose where to focus. This is when this question sprang to mind.
Being compared to a Summer’s day feels delicious. It it light and fluffy and filled will luminescence. There is an ease and a warmth of Being that I desire to experience and be in this comparison. It felt good. I felt good! Better than all that heavy judging stuff.
I really realized that to break free of old ways of thinking of beliefs systems that were limiting the birth of new creations for me and them manifesting in my life, I was and would have to focus exclusively on this delightful sense of what I already was and could accomplish from this place.
The only one that was bringing clouds and stormy dark weather into my day, was me. Each time I looked at myself or what I was doing in a way that devalued me, I took one step further away from my Soul. This is the reason that I felt so awful! I was disconnected. And I am definitely standing on the brink of ‘this is where it ends!’. Focus is such an amazing tool of choice, that can cut through so much unnecessary drama and trauma. I am no longer looking for the heavy and intense energy anymore. I am breaking free because I am already free. Identity is a facade that we wear to become ‘socially’ acceptable and which simply no longer works for me, if it ever did.
Shall I compare me to a Summer’s day? Absolutely! Free. Abundant. Generous. Light. Warm. Alive.
So if I am going to compare myself at all, I am going to choose the most amazing of things to compare myself to. I Am a Child of the Universe!

Recently, I hauled out my juicing machine and purchased a blender and I began juicing fruit and veggies. Adding a glass of fresh fruit or veggie juice to my daily eating plan. Just like that! Not for any other reason than that my body has been asking for something more from food that what it has obviously been getting. And it became quite vehement about it over the last few weeks.
I consider myself very fortunate too to have access to many fresh organic vegetables from my home garden, which helps a lot with availability and budget. I have found myself enjoying this experience and actually having a lot of fun, as I go about concocting different fruit and/or vegetable cocktails. Needless to same, some have been more enjoyable to ingest than others. But even with the ghastly tasting blends, I began to notice something! Regardless of the actual taste, my body was having the time of its Life! I definitely had more energy and the sluggishness was lifting and I noticed I was walking with a bounce in my step, feeling less achy and stiff. My body felt wonderful and was humming to me. 😉
Now before all you fervent juicers say ‘We told you so’, I do wish to confirm that I have on several previous occasions fasted and started detox juice plans. Some were successfully completed, but none with any long-term success. I also knew that my body did not want to experience these again and was looking for something new, quick and easy. Otherwise, quite frankly neither of us are keen to get started, not to mention keeping it up.
After a particularly horrid tasting veggie cocktail a few days ago, I did begin to wonder at the role our taste buds play in our eating habits. I found myself wondering, ‘Am I a slave to my taste buds?’. There is definitely a Yes answer in there to a large degree. There is no denying that eating something delicious can be orgasmic and extremely pleasurable. But how much of what we eat leaves us feeling great and energised?
So many people experience indigestion, bloating, allergies, food disorders when it comes to food. So is it enough to eat something that simply tastes good? Just looking at the package label of most food makes it quite apparent that much of the food we think we are eating, is not ‘real’ food and has been disguised usually with chemicals to taste appealing. The chemicals often settle into the body’s tissue and long-term cause dis-ease, as the body is not able to flush them out effectively, when consumed in large quantities and over extended periods of time. A lot of the food we consume today is basically a synthetic copy of a natural food with artificial flavouring added to make it palatable.
If you have ever suffered from a hang-over and had a toddy, then you know that the toddy that actually made you feel better, tasted simply awful. Stories of old, always tell of the beverage that tasted worse than anything and yet it restored a sense of health.
I remember back to when I first started using structured water just over a year ago. Now I am a coffee drinker. I love the taste and smell of coffee. So it was a ritual to begin my day with a good cup of filtered fresh coffee. Drinking structured water changed my taste bud. For several weeks after beginning to drink structured water, I found the taste of my usual coffee had changed, so much so, that I no longer even enjoyed drinking my coffee. So I stopped. Then after about two month’s I suddenly desired a coffee again. This time, my coffee tasted different and deliciously so. I realized that my taste buds had gone through a detox. It could well be also why, a few month’s ago, I started getting intuitions from my body that it desired more nutritional and fresh foods.
Freedom is about being willing and able to respond to life and make choices that contribute to making life better. When one is a slave ………………. to anything, this freedom is absent. Whilst tasty and delicious food may fulfill your taste buds, is it actually nourishing your body or are you slowly dying from nutritional starvation ?
How can you tell? Well those symptoms of bloating, indigestion, rashes, drowsiness, headaches and lack of energy etc could be a clue that what your body requires and what your taste buds are telling you is okay to eat, are not in alignment. If it helps you to keep notes, then jot down those times when you feel off. It could be a once off, however if it is happening more often than not, then taking a look at the fuel you are putting into your body, may be a great place to start. And of course, you could ask you body what it want’s to eat. I almost always muscle test everything now and I am amazed at the new foods and tastes that are showing up for me to explore. The great thing with plain natural unseasoned food, is that you get to play with flavours and spices and find those that marry well together. And you also know what is in your food.
Eating well is not just about food that tastes nice. The fast food industry is an example of where food can taste nice but long-term does not provide ample nutrition for the human body to sustain and heal itself in an optimal way. How you hydrate your body is also important and despite all of these fancy drinks available, the body really only requires water and if at all possible, structured water because it is energized and freed from entrainment, i.e. memory.
The quality of our food is of the utmost importance as it is the fuel for our physical bodies. I am not suggesting that you always eat food that tastes horrible. I have experienced that the more natural my food is, the more I actually get to taste the natural flavour of what I am eating. If you don’t like it then you don’t have to eat it. Nature, however, provides us with a wide variety of yummy natural foods that taste good and that – even better – are good fuel. Start to integrate them slowly into your life. There is no need to give up anything. I still have my coffee and enjoy chocolate.
Please, don’t let your taste buds take you on a ride – especially to a place where you do not want to find yourself or experience ill-health !
Here’s to healthy living and eating. Bon Appetit.

Living on the edge, is a term that holds within its implicit definition (at least for the purpose of this blog) a hint of danger, excitement, difference, exclusion, eccentricity, being out of control, tending to lean towards something unsavoury for many and with a risk of losing balance. Sailors of old, lived with the superstition that if they reached the horizon, they would fall off the edge of the Earth, as the current belief was that the Earth was flat. Few dared venture to the edge, for fear of falling off. So sailing was probably a very limited experience initially. Until that time, when somehow some daring and curious sailor headed for the horizon and found that on reaching the horizon, another horizon magically appeared ahead and unfolded into untold greater possibilities and experiences.
There are many such horizons in our everyday societies, dependent on our cultural, gender and financial standing, and that are still embedded in a kind of superstitious and hypnotic ‘logic’. In our Western society, success is closely and primarily linked to finances and many idioms have been created over time to reinforce these beliefs. Monetary power rules the world and humans scramble around in a seemingly difficult and losing battle to fit in. Money has been held responsible for so much in this world and as long as humans continue to think about money in this way, to hold the beliefs they do about what money is or isn’t, well like those sailors of old, most of us will not ever get very much past the harbour before turning back, in fear of falling off or failing. And so, most people are not curious or intrepid enough to actually head for the horizon and actually discover the world the lies beyond. Concepts, definitions, standards and judgements are used to keep everything in a place of separation and thus mass disempowerment.
Few people live on the edge, and if they do, society and the medical professions, have very powerful structures in place to deter any further exploration. We have not been given the tools or shown how to live on the edge in a healthy and empowering way, because we would then be uncontrollable. In the movie, “The Truman Show” starring Jim Carrey, the manipulation within our current society structure an which most of us think of as reality, is highlighted very clearly. There is no man who is more a prisoner than the man who believes he is free and happy, but lives within a prison. What one believes is what one will see and experience. This does not mean that what one is experiencing is essentially TRUE however!
So how does one know whether one is being manipulated? In ‘The Truman Show’ movie, the manipulation becomes clearer when the character begins to choose something that goes against the stream, that is different and that departs from the illusion of the ‘norm’. The point here is not to imply that one is right or wrong, good or bad, black or white. It is not about judging manipulation as something good or bad, but rather about being aware of where manipulation is occurring, either to or by us. And then taking respons-ability for what we choose to do and how we can experience living on the edge.
Living on the edge, affords a greater vantage point, where it is possible to look at what has been and to look forward to what is possible. To have this vantage point however, one must have the courage to venture to the edge of one’s comfort zone and walk up to the horizon. And yes, there can be periods when the lines are blurred and awareness seems to waiver and there are no clear points of reference. It can be an uncomfortable place and this fear of being uncomfortable is what keeps most of us, to some extent and at certain phases of our lives, immobile. We have been mislead to believe that being comfortable means right and being uncomfortable means wrong. Our social structures and religious teachings are riddled with these paradoxes. When one lives on the edge, it is possible to see these paradoxes and the confusion they create, deliberately so. Like a deer caught in the headlights, confusion keeps many in a place of uncertainty and immobilization, which ironically can prove fatal and leaves one more vulnerable that anyone living on the edge could ever be.
When one is living on the edge, one needs to be nimble and alert, very present and conscious. Perhaps the thing most of us fear and think we lack, is trust. Trust in One ’s Self. For if we have bought into the beLIEf that trust is something one finds from success, thus linked to money or something externally, we will continue to experience living on the edge as something unsavoury, unstable and to be avoided at all costs. The power of enchantment is that it makes the illusion appear real. The advantage of living on the edge, is that one is able to see the illusion for what it is and to choose from that cusp of reality. It takes courage to live on the edge, as pulling out of the illusion brings up feelings of separation, difference, not fitting in, failure, guilt, sadness, loss and comes face to face with one’s shadow. This happens on a continuum in different areas of one’s lives. For example, when a person seems to experience a bout of what is termed as either good or bad luck. Remember, just like those first courageous sailors of old who dared to sail to the horizon, once there they had the awareness that everything was different and continued on to unfold.
So is it possible to live on the edge comfortably and in trust? The answer depends on what you choose. Life is what you make it. And you make you Life what is it, by the choice of B.S. (Belief Systems) you have. At this point in our evolution as a race, the awareness of ourselves as Creators serves as our greatest strength and stumbling block. We stand on the cusp of different vantage points and whilst many of us are being urged on, almost against our will, we move forward cautiously into new territory, crossing the ‘horizontal’ line, yet also look back with a certain sense of longing behind us. It is a time of shaking off the old ways and standing in one’s knowing that trust is a SELF-creation. Everything is within and then is reflected without.
I will end with a really cool analogy of what living on the edge showed up like for me. I recently moved several kilometres out of town. Only a small change in distance on the surface of things, but what has turned into quite a change in lifestyle. My car radio is programmed to various radio stations and so with this move, clear reception was affected when I reached a certain part of the road. Whilst noticing this, I didn’t think much of it and was belligerently okay with this type of reception for several days. By chance, I happened to put on a CD and erroneously pushed the wrong button on the radio. This caused my radio to automatically search for a new radio frequency. In that moment, I got it!!
Everything in the Universe is in constant motion and yes that includes us. Even though our lives may appear the same every day and in many ways most of us seek to maintain this status quo, the energy that underlies all things, is in constant motion and expansion. By geographically changing my position when moving, I had shifted my band width so to say and was now in a phase of fine-tuning. When we change, whether this means a geographically or simply a change in thought patterns, we move into different zones of vibrational frequencies. Suddenly things, people, situations that may have been around us for a while may drop away or show up. It is important to acknowledge and allow this dynamic and honour all the emotions that this may bring up. We can only heal what we feel! Denial, repression and suppression of what we are feeling, whether it be light and fluffy or dark and dangerous, IS key.
Living on the edge is like a state of organic being which I feel honours the logistics of energy in motion. Everyday and throughout our choices, we are fine tuning into different yet similar vibration frequencies, just as we may choose to tune into different radio stations. This means being willing to let go AND to let in.
Could it be that Living on the Edge is a truer way of actual Living? And that beyond the uncomfortable, scary bits lays a limitless and expansive dimension of Being to which we are just now awakening? Well dear Reader, I leave you to explore these possibilities.
May you enjoy your experience of Living on the Edge. In Light. Namaste.
